HOLLYWOOD, CA., November 17, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — The Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) today announced the WINNERS in the Film and Music for Visual Media categories. Watch the show recorded on www.hmmawards.com Film winners in the Score, Song, Screen Performance and other genre music categories include: DON’T LOOK UP, DUNE, NO TIME TO DIE, CODA, RESPECT, PARALLEL MOTHERS, and C’MON C’MON. Among the winning composers are many former Oscar winners and nominees, including Hans Zimmer, Nicholas Britel, Alberto Iglesias, Rachel Portman, Mychael Dannaand Marco Beltrami. Songwriter winners include Adam Levine and Savanna KotechaBillie Eilish, Finneas and Rufus Wainwright. CODA won two awards: Outstanding Song for the Independent Film “Beyond The Shore” and Outstanding On-Screen Musical Performance of a Song (Original or Pre-Existing), for Amelie Jones like Ruby singing and signing “Both Sides Now”, by Joni Mitchellduring his audition for Berklee School of music. The non-film winners included for the highest TV rating of Netflix’s hit Korean-language show SQUID GAMES with acceptance speech from Seoul, Korea by composer jung jae-he. Movie studio winners by the numbers: MGM 4, Apple 3, Paramount 2, Sony Pictures Classics 2, Netflix 1, Warner Bros. 1, A24 1, Discovery 1 and Focus Features 1. For television, Netflix received the most awards.

Prizes have been awarded Wednesday, November 17, 2021 to 5:30 p.m. (PST). The HMMAs honor composers, songwriters, music supervisors, and filmmakers for their work in music for film, television, and video games.

Hollywood Music Media Awards (HMMA) is the first awards organization to honor original music (song and score) in all visual media worldwide. HMMA nominations have always been representative of Golden Globes, Oscars, Grammys and Emmys nominees and winners happening months later. The Hollywood Music in Media Awards will feature musical performances, celebrity presenters, tributes to music industry icons, awards for composers, songwriters and artists and the new categoryOutstanding Screen Performance in a Motion Picture. The new category recognized an outstanding song (original or pre-existing performance). This award will be given to the performer on screen.
